Transform Social Work Training
An immersive VR training experience that prepares socialcare professionals for real-world challenges in a safe, controlled environment.
Empathy and Skill-Building through VR
Social workers gain hands-on experience navigating complex scenarios, learning critical skills to better serve children and families, while fostering empathy and understanding.
Real Research, Real Impact
Developed through two years of research, RIVRT equips professionals with essential tools to navigate difficult cases effectively, supporting a safer and more supportive social care system.
Why RIVRT Training?
RIVRT goes beyond traditional learning by immersing social workers in real-world scenarios that reflect the intricacies of child protection and social care practice. Developed through two years of ethnographic research, this structured, two-day, seven-module training takes professionals on an 11-month journey with a fictional family.
This unique approach allows trainees to experience what research has found leads to ‘barriers’ and ‘enablers’ in developing effective relationship-based practices, by offering a front-row seat to the subtle nuances which can impact outcomes for all involved.
Through the use of virtual reality, social workers can practise critical skills in empathy, resilience, and relational understanding—all in a safe, controlled environment.
Whether you're a new social worker building essential skills or an experienced professional refining your practice, RIVRT offers an unparalleled training experience designed to equip you for the challenges and complexities of social care.
RIVRT training is offered as a train-the-trainer model, where our dedicated Cornerstone VR trainers will guide your team through the training modules, with full access to the RIVRT films, session plans and trainer handouts. This training package is available as an optional paid enhancement to our Cornerstone VR programme or as a standalone purchase.
