new Immersive VR Films.

We've crafted our new VR films with feedback from
experts dedicated to improving the lives of young people
and children.

This series of immersive, trauma-informed films aim to change the narrative around knife crime and raise awareness of why children and young people may feel compelled to pick up a knife in today's society.

Teenagers are disproportionally affected by knife crime and, as a result, face a higher risk of murder by knife attacks than any other age group.

We've placed exploring the reasons behind why young people pick up knives, drawing attention to the unseen children who become criminalised at a young age, and the life changing consequences of knife-related attacks and injuries at the heart of this series.

This is following feedback from partners and focus groups that highlighted young people are “intimidated” and “frightened” on the streets, and how this fear can lead to them becoming criminalised.

Why Virtual Reality works.

Virtual reality is a powerful tool that can help parents, carers, and practitioners understand how to connect with young people in meaningful ways. By stepping into their shoes, you can better understand their world and the pressures they face.

Studies by PWC (2022) show that in comparison to traditional classroom learners, Virtual Reality learners are:

4x

faster to train.

3.75x

more emotionally connected to the content.

4x

more focused.

275%

more confident to act on what they have learnt.

Following use of the Cornerstone VR Programme:

96%

of participants agreed to have a deeper
understanding of the child's perspective.

96%

of participants agreed they would consider
alternative ways to approach situations in their work.
